Yes the La Porte Fire Dept does have a Firefighter Combat Challenge Team. The team was started last year a few moths before the Dallas competion. Thanks to all that helped The guys worked their tails off to make it to Dallas. On top of all the work they had to put in to get a time that would qualify them to be able to go to the World Championship in Las Vegas, they also had to find some money to get out there on. There were rooms, rental cars and flights to book. We would like to thank the La Porte Fire Dept Club for giving us the front money to purchase the tickets once we qualfied to go. We had dontaion from The City of La Porte. Without them it would not have been possible to make the trip. We would also like thank our Brother Firefighters in Beach City for donating too. Not everybody donated money for the cause. We don't have several pieces of training equipment that is needed to train properly. We had the use of a Rescue Randy dontated by Enterprise Products and a Keiser Machine donated by LCR. We really apreciated being able to use this equipment. We still don't have our own Rescue Randy or Keiser Machine. We also had many companies donate money for expenses that come along with qualifying for the World Chapionship.
